KLA Update – Hazard Buoys, Low Wake Markers & Loon Nests!

by Board Member on May 10, 2019 No comments

Please note that our Lake Steward, Pete Johnson will be out on the lake in the coming weekend(s) to ensure that the KLA’s yellow hazard buoys (or minions as some fondly call them), as well as the Low Wake markers are still in their proper places. Please let us know if one is missing and/or has moved as a result of the high water levels and he will take care of it.

In addition, we caution everyone on the lake to take it slowly if you’re in a boat. There are many reports of things floating and/ or submerged just below the water. It’s also the time of year that our loons will be building their nests along the shoreline. We must all be extremely cautious of boat wakes which could harm them as well as further deteriorate shoreline erosion caused by the high water.

Please email Pete at lakesteward@kashwakamak.ca to report anything that needs to be fixed.
Thanks for your help and cooperation.
